Rangers travel to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership TONIGHT (Wednesday) as third place take on second.
Jimmy Thelin's Aberdeen side have enjoyed an excellent start to the current campaign so far, sitting level of points with league leaders Celtic after nine games.
Philippe Clement's men on the other hand have endured a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign.
At the end of the first round of games, Rangers will know they cannot afford to potentially fall nine points behind their rivals, even this early into the season.

Team news
Philippe Clement has confirmed John Souttar and Tom Lawrence are available for selection, although the manager is not yet sure if the pair will manage 90 minutes.
Souttar was rested for the St Mirren game, while Lawrence was left out due to a twisted knee.
Ianis Hagi returns from his two-match ban after his red card against St Johnstone.
Rabbi Matondo, Ridvan Yilmaz, Oscar Cortes and Danilo will all miss out.
For Thelin, his side are on such a good run that it would be hard to imagine him making many alternations to his starting XI that beat Dundee United at the weekend.
Kevin Nisbet missed the 1-0 win against Dundee United at the weekend with a calf injury and is not expected to return for tonight's game.
