Rangers return to Hampden this afternoon for what they hope will be the last time on league duty with Ross County the opponents.

Philippe Clement's men will go top of the table with a win, albeit temporarily.

Our writers select their starting XIs for the clash.

Rangers will be boosted with the return of Nico Raskin but it's likely the Belgian will start on the bench.

With Ridvan out injured, the manager has a decision to make at left-back. Despite starting against St Johnstone last week, Jefte should make way for Robbie Fraser with the Brazilian played in the more advanced role of left-wing with Oscar Cortes still sidelined.

Robin Propper is another who won't be risked against the Staggies so that leaves Leon Balogun, Ben Davies and Clinton Nsiala. With Davies set to seal a loan switch to Birmingham City, it's likely that Balogun will get the nod and partner John Souttar at the heart of the backline.

In the engine room, Mohamed Diomande and Connor Barron should continue their partnership with Tom Lawrence likely to start in the No.10 position.

With Jefte on the left, the other two forward places will be taken by Vaclav Cerny on the opposite flank with Cyriel Dessers coming in for Danilo to lead the line.

Philippe Clement does not have as many injury issues as he has had at times during his reign but he still doesn’t have a full squad to choose from. As such, his options are somewhat limited and few squad players have done enough to merit a start as Rangers look for a victory in their final match before the Old Firm clash next weekend.

Many of those in this side now pick themselves on form. That is the case for the likes of Jefte, Connor Barron and Cyriel Dessers. James Tavernier is still searching for his form and needs a performance at Hampden to ease the growing fears over him heading to Parkhead.

The issue wide on the left is a concern for Clement. Moving Jefte forward and pitching Robbie Fraser in at full-back is one option. The more likely one is Ross McCausland starting and he deserves the nod ahead of Rabbi Matondo.
