Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz will be missing for "four to six weeks", Philippe Clement has confirmed.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury in the second half of his side's 2-0 defeat against Dynamo Kyiv at Hampden as Rangers exited the Champions League qualifiers. Ben Davies came on in place of Ridvan with backup option Jefte dismissed earlier in the half for two yellow cards.

Clement revealed the news speaking at his press conference ahead of tomorrow's meeting with St Johnstone in the League Cup.

"Ridvan will be out four to six weeks roughly, although I don't like to see too much in detail," he said.

"[Scott] Wright has a small problem and will miss out this weekend, [Leon] Balogun is also a doubt."

Asked if the club will look to bring in another left-back given Ridvan's injury, Clement said: "I don't think we have the assets to do those things now. I think we need to put all the focus on the positions we need in the squad for the rest of the season because getting a full-back in now when you have three left-backs in Ridvan, Jefte and Robbie Fraser who made a really good evolution the last couple of months. It is his time also to take chances and he did really positive things in pre-season. That is also part of the season to give chances to guys coming out of the academy."
