Cyriel Dessers has always been like marmite to Rangers fans since arriving from US Cremonese in summer 2023.
The Light Blues striker has a respectable 24 goal return out of his 58 Rangers appearances, and netted a vital equaliser during the UEFA Champions League third round qualifier first leg against Dynamo Kyiv last week.
His contribution and work rate can sometimes go unnoticed, or perhaps, under-appreciated, with that sentiment proving the case in the second leg defeat at Hampden Park on Tuesday.
The scoreline was still level when Dessers failed to control a cross field pass, which was met by loud groans from the crowd inside the national stadium.
Rob McLean immediately picked up on the incident on BBC Scotland commentary duty and claimed the forward had told disgruntled punters to 'Give me your support' while furiously waving his arms.
And Ibrox hero, Derek Ferguson, reckons the Nigerian internationalist has to quickly realise you are going to come in for some stick as a Rangers player, and to learn to rise above it if he wants to be Philippe Clement's lead attacker this season.

“I’ll tell you what, that’s when the fans kicked in," the ex-Rangers midfielder said on the latest Open Goal Podcast.
“That’s when the fans came in and gave them a wee bit back. By the way, just another wee thing. We praised him last week but Dessers, be careful mate.
“We get that you’re giving your all and a bit jaded and all that, but when the fans are giving it to you, that’s part of parcel of being at Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts. That’s part of the game.
“You’ve got to accept that. When he started giving it that, I was really surprised. I tell you, you’re in for a rough ride.”
