James Tavernier insists he is fully committed to Rangers after boss Philippe Clement admitted the summer window will be the 'end of a cycle' at Ibrox.
Tavernier will lead Rangers into the Scottish Cup final against Celtic on Saturday as Clement's side look to finish the campaign on a high note and add the silverware to the League Cup that they lifted in December.
The Hampden showpiece will be the final fixture for a number of players within the squad as the likes of Borna Barisic and John Lundstram get set to head for the exit door this summer. Clement has a handful of established figures out of contract in the coming days and will now look to put his stamp on the squad ahead of the new term.
The futures of Tavernier and vice-captain Connor Goldson will be up for debate amongst many supporters going into the close season. Both have been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia to link up with Steven Gerrard once again but the skipper insists his full focus on delivering more success to Rangers.
“Everyone in that changing room tries to give their maximum for the team and the club,” Tavernier said when asked if those that could leave Ibrox this season had an extra motivation to go out on a high. “I have never seen anyone fall short of that. We work extremely hard behind the scenes at the training ground and we will try to put that into the match.
"Everyone wants to end the season on a high. You obviously want to do it for the fans, your family, you want to do it for the backroom staff that nobody really sees but who look after you. You want to do it for everybody.
“I think that [rebuild] comes down to the manager. That is his decision, obviously the board’s decision. I am sure he will have ideas of what he wants to do next season if we lose players. That is obviously higher than me.
“Like I said, I have got two years left and I am fully focused on the job in hand. I am always fully committed, I give my all every single day and that is what I will continue to do.”
