Ally McCoist has admitted he would will his sons to miss a penalty if it meant Rangers won the Scottish Premiership title - but ruled one Celtic hypothetical too far.
The Ibrox hero proved his love for Rangers as he insisted he would be desperate for any of his sons to miss a penalty for Celtic should it hand the championship to his former club.
McCoist was quizzed on a host of bonkers scenarios on talkSPORT to determine how far he would go to ensure his club won the league.
Shebahn Aherne quizzed the pundit: "Ally, would you accept Rangers getting smashed in all the Old Firm games in one season to win the title?"
McCoist, quick as a flash said: "Yes. It doesn't matter. If you win the league you are the best team. You want your team to win the league."
McCoist then admitted he would put Rangers winning the title ahead of any of his sons scoring a penalty.
Aherne asked: "One of his sons plays for Celtic and has to take a penalty to win the title and beat Rangers. Would he want his son to miss?"
And McCoist again offered an emphatic response: "Yes. Absolutely. You can pick any one of the five and I would want them to miss. 100 per cent I would want them to miss."
And on whether he would miss a penalty in order for Rangers to claim the league crown, McCoist said: 'Yes, I would. And you know I would direct it that far over the bar you would never find the ball again."

But McCoist ruled one scenario too far as he stated in no uncertain terms that he would not do it.
He was asked: "Would you wear a Celtic top all of next season for Rangers to win the title?"
But McCoist booted out the suggestion: "That's nonsense. That's absolute nonsense – I mean why would you do that? I wouldn't do that."
Meanwhile, the Rangers hero branded both Glasgow clubs as "bang average" but admitted Celtic have been better and are dead-certain to go on and claim the title.
"Just to be quite open about this right now, it ain't happening," he said. "Celtic are top just now – a bang average Celtic by the way. Celtic are slightly better but it's two bad bunches.
"They are two bang average sides and as poor an Old Firm as I have seen in a long time, but Celtic are slightly better."
