Rangers make the long trip to Dingwall this weekend for the first of three huge games in the space of a week.

Philippe Clement's men will tackle Ross County without the services of Mohamed Diomande after he underwent surgery on his thumb.

With Dundee lying in wait on Wednesday, weather permitting, will that affect the Rangers boss' team selection against the Staggies?

Philippe Clement has seen his preparations for the trip to Ross County disrupted by the farce of the postponed fixture against Dundee but he won’t allow that situation to be used as an excuse. Quite simply, Rangers must be heading home with three points on Sunday. Only then can attentions turn to that match against the Dees and the Scottish Cup semi-final with Hearts.

The loss of Mohamed Diomande will force Clement to make at least one change from the side that left it late against Celtic. Given the uncertainty surrounding the underfoot conditions next midweek, it may make sense to keep Dujon Sterling fresh for Dundee. If so, Kieran Dowell looks set to come back into the team, although Nicolas Raskin will be hoping this is the opportunity that he needs.

Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo made a real difference off the bench at Ibrox. If they are fit enough to get through an hour, Clement should pitch them in from the start and look to get this game won as soon as possible.

If Ridvan Yilmaz doesn’t make it, Borna Barisic will be eyeing that left-back spot. Sterling performed well there against Celtic but he may well be earmarked for a midfield role, or even high and wide if Clement doesn’t want to risk both of his pacey forwards in the one match.

Philippe Clement has a few selection decisions to make for this game, the first is who replaces Mohamed Diomande.

Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Nico Raskin and Tom Lawrence are all options to come in alongside John Lundstram. Of the four candidates, Sterling would just edge it but much will depend on whether Borna Barisic is fit and able to fill in for Ridvan at left back if the Turk doesn't make it.

Ahead of the postponed Dundee fixture, Leon Balogun was in with a shout of replacing Connor Goldson given he is struggling for form. The Nigerian should still start alongside John Souttar although it would be a bold move from Clement to drop someone who has been a virtual ever-present since arriving at the club from Brighton.

Todd Cantwell deserves to start ahead of Tom Lawrence in the No.10 position with Abdallah Sima and Rabbi Matondo also deserving of starting spots after their Old Firm contributions last weekend.
