Derek Ferguson insists he would move for Lennon Miller 'every day of the week' over Connor Barron if he was in charge of Rangers' recruitment.
The former Gers midfielder would love to see the Motherwell youngster show up at Ibrox this summer.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season at Fir Park, making 25 first-team appearances for the bottom six club.
He's been tipped for big things in the game and is already an established Scotland Under-19 international.
The consensus is that it will be between him and David Watson of Kilmarnock for the Young Player of the Year award come the end of the season.
Rangers have been linked with a move for Connor Barron at Aberdeen for some time, with his contract up at the end of the campaign.
However, it's Miller Rangers should be focussing their efforts on if they want to sign a young Scottish midfielder, reckons Ferguson.
He told Ibrox News: "Again, like Lennon Miller, [Barron’s] a good player without a shadow of a doubt.
"Trying to compare the two of them I just think Lennon is a better-rounded player, I think Connor just lacks a little bit defensively. But that’s why you play in a team because your teammates can cover for you in certain departments.

“Listen, they’re two good young boys without a shadow of a doubt. If I had the choice of the two of them I’d be going for Lennon Miller every day of the week. I just think there’s a lot to like about him.
“You’ve got more of a chance with Lennon. With Motherwell, a deal could be struck which would be good for Motherwell and good for Rangers. I’d be inclined to go more down that route.”
