Nnamdi Ofoborh has returned to professional football almost three years after his last appearance.
Ofoborh, 24, was signed on a pre-contract by then Rangers boss Steven Gerrard in February 2021 and handed a four-year-contract.
However, the midfielder was diagnosed with a serious heart problem shortly after penning the deal.
That resulted in him being sidelined for the best part of two seasons, and failing to make a first team appearance, before eventually being released from the club last summer.
Ofoborh had been without a team during the seven months since, until Swindon Town allowed him into train earlier this month.

The Nigerian youth internationalist impressed boss Gavin Gunning throughout his trial and was rewarded with a permanent contract ahead of their English League Two clash against Notts County on Friday.
Swindon went on to win the match 2-1, and Ofoborh played the final five minutes as a substitute - marking a long-awaited wait for a competitive outing.
Speaking to club media after penning the deal, he said: "I am blessed and am happy to be here.
"It's been a long time coming and I am looking forward to getting started. I am just thankful to god that I have got this opportunity and hopeful I can make it count."
