New Aberdeen manager Neil Warnock says Rangers-supporting friends have already told him they will be giving him stick when he is in the away dugout at Ibrox for his first match in the Scottish Premiership.
The 75-year-old was confirmed on Monday as taking charge of the Pittodrie club until the end of the season after Barry Robson was sacked.
And Warnock, who has a house in Dunoon, has revealed he enjoys the hospitality of local side Dunoon Rangers and has been a regular visitor to the Light Blues supporters Club in the Argyll and Bute town.
However, he is not expecting any love to be lost when the two sides face off on Tuesday night.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I like rivalry. Let’s be fair, if you were putting money on it you wouldn’t put much on us.
"But football’s like that isn’t it? There’s always surprises everywhere. We’ll be going to try to win the game.
"All my mates will be there. The Dunoon Rangers fan club. I’ve had a few good afternoons there.
They’re very entertaining, they look after you in the hospitality. They said they’re going to give me some stick on the bench during the game.
"It’s a fabulous club, I love watching games there but nothing would please me more than beating them if I’m honest.
"Anything is possible. They will be disappointed how their form has gone in the league when you look at previous years but that has gone out the window now.
"We have to concentrate on what’s in front of us. When you get to my age you just look at whats’s there and that’s what we’re going to do.
"We’ll have a go against Rangers and then on to the Cup game on Saturday.
"I know it’s the old cliche but it’s about the next game."
