Rangers have appealed the red card shown to Jose Cifuentes during their recent victory against Dundee.
The midfielder was sent off by Kevin Clancy after a VAR review for catching Amadou Bakayoko late in the challenge.
He was originally booked before the decision was upgraded to a red. The Ibrox side have decided to appeal the incident which will be heard by a fast-track tribunal on Tuesday.
If Philippe Clement's side win the appeal then the Ecuadorian will be available for Sunday's League Cup final against Aberdeen.

Speaking after the match the Ibrox boss stressed that Cifuentes told him he had pulled out of the challenge.
"Jose told me he lost the ball and wanted to win it back," the Belgian said. "He wanted to block the ball but the other guy is a split second faster and tackles through the ball, there’s contact.
"Jose tries to avoid it, he didn’t go through it, so I want to see things back to have a clear and good opinion so we can make an assessment the next few days.”
