Michael Beale plans on holding talks with Malik Tillman over his future in the coming days.
The American international will miss the rest of the season after picking up a nasty injury against Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final. Tillman joined Rangers on an initial one-year loan deal from Bayern Munich last summer, but a buy-option was inserted in the contract - believed to be worth around £5 million.
The 20-year–old enjoyed a hugely successful first season at Ibrox and he was recently recognised for his performances when he was voted PFA Young Player of the Year by his peers.
Tillman registered 12 goals and five assists across 43 appearances for Rangers and Michael Beale remains keen to secure the talented midfielder’s signature on a permanent contract.
Tillman has returned to Germany to undergo his rehabilitation but he will be in Glasgow for Rangers’ end of season awards on Sunday and Beale admits he will hold talks with the loanee next week.
Asked for an update on Tillman’s future, Beale said: "It was a nasty injury. It was a twelve injury and he went to Bayern after we did the scans here.

“He was back to get his award last weekend and he’s back for our presentation this weekend - probably thinking that he’ll get one more.
“We’ll have a chat and Malik explained exactly where we are recently.”
Speaking after picking up his PFA YPOTY award, Tillman left the door open to returning to Rangers next season on a permanent basis.
“I’ve spoken to Michael Beale already and he said, ‘Just take your time. It’s your decision’. That’s what I’m going to do,” Tillman said.
“The option is until the beginning of June or something so I still have three or four weeks to decide. I’m going to take my time because obviously it’s a big decision for me.
“It is still open. I am going to talk to Michael Beale in the coming days and see what he is saying and what the club is saying. Then I am going to speak to Bayern again and see what their plan is for me. And then I am going to decide.”
