Rangers return to Champions League qualification action tonight when they host Dynamo Kyiv at Hampden.

Philippe Clement's only fresh injury concerns approaching the tie is Leon Balogun, who is a doubt following Saturday's 2-1 win over Motherwell.

Our writers have their say on the team to face the Ukrainian outfit at the national stadium below.

Clement gave little away when he was asked about the chances of Vaclav Cerny starting on Tuesday night in the aftermath of the win over Motherwell. As he laid out the pros and cons of the scenario, supporters were perhaps left to fear that the winger would not be given the nod at Hampden.

This is a must-win for Rangers. As a result, Clement needs his best team on the park. Cerny fits that description, as does Robin Propper. Most of the other names pick themselves.

It would be no surprise to see John Souttar keep his spot but Balogun must be in with a shout. Ahead of them, the midfield three of Barron, Sterling and Diomande looks the best that Rangers have. On the left, Jefte deserves a spot given the impact he made last week.

Clement is always careful with his selections and will plot his team through another crucial week. He cannot be reckless and take risks. Yet he can’t afford to be left thinking what might have been at Hampden.

I'm in complete agreement with my colleague on this one - even if Clement seems unlikely to start this game with the midfield three that ended the game against Motherwell.

Jefte more than merits a place in the starting 11 following his impact in Lublin. Meanwhile given Kyiv's threat in transition, Sterling could have a big role to play in the centre of the park.

Although Cerny is still building full fitness the Czech winger's individual quality was clear to see against Motherwell. The 26-year-old's movement and direct style also created the goal that levelled this tie late on last week in Poland.
