Having picked a team without January arrivals last weekend, you sense Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin will be the first names in Michael Beale's starting 11 tomorrow.

Derek McInnes' Kilmarnock side travel to Ibrox in Saturday's 3pm kick-off, with Rangers in action for the first time since their Viaplay Cup Final defeat at the hands of Celtic.

The dialogue all week has focused on what Beale needs to change after suffering his first defeat at the club.

That will likely begin with a freshened-up starting 11 to carry the club into the summer rebuild.

Our writers have their say on the team below.

Raskin and Cantwell shouldn't be the only introductions to Beale's team today. He can't rip everything up and start again after totalling up so many wins since arriving, but neither can things return to business as usual.

Ridvan Yilmaz is close but not likely to be fit for today's encounter, meaning any change to the back five is unlikely.

The same cannot be said one line ahead. Raskin is a certain starter moving forwards and should be partnered by Ryan Jack after the below-par showing Glen Kamara and John Lundstram offered up at the national stadium.

Rangers Review:

While Cantwell for Fashion Sakala feels a natural swap, will that leave the hosts with sufficient goal threat?

Rangers looked overloaded in the middle playing too many No.10s against Partick Thistle and despite plenty of promising approach play against St Johnstone, when Cantwell started with Ryan Kent and Malik Tillman, the lack of goalscorers on the pitch failed to translate territorial advantage into goals.

Don't be too surprised if Antonio Colak or Fashion Sakala joins Alfredo Morelos up top, even if that may require leaving one of Kent and Tillman on the bench. However, a trio of Tillman, Kent and Cantwell could just as likely play from the off.

Predicted line-up: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Raskin, Jack, Tillman, Cantwell, Kent, Morelos.

Although many Rangers supporters would like to see wholesale changes from Sunday’s lacklustre League Cup final showing, injuries will dictate who Beale picks tomorrow.

The back four probably remains unchanged and Allan McGregor should retain his place between the sticks. With John Souttar back available for selection we may see the former Hearts man at some point in the second half if Rangers have a commanding lead.

In midfield, Beale got it wrong last weekend but going forward, Raskin has to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Alongside him, Jack, if fit, should partner the Belgian.

Tillman will complete the midfield trio with the forward line comprising of Kent, Cantwell and Morelos.

Sakala is the one casualty in the attack but the Zambian could be utilised from the bench at some point, again depending on the scoreline.

Predicted line-up: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Raskin, Jack, Tillman, Cantwell, Kent, Morelos.
