RANGERS will aim to return to winning ways when they play host to managerless Dundee United at Ibrox.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men go into the Premiership encounter having lost their last three games without scoring a goal.

Our writers select their Rangers XIs to start the match.

The very definition of 'must win', Rangers simply can't drop their levels against Dundee United at Ibrox if they are to draw a line under three defeats in a row.

11 goals have been lost and zero scored, a statistic the squad must look to bring back to parity with some serious goalmouth action.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst must send a team out at Ibrox that looks for both goals and fluidity of performance against a team that remains managerless and stranded at the bottom of the Premiership.

It's the perfect time to begin bedding in £3.5m signing Ben Davies alongside Connor Goldson while Malik Tillman should come back into the engine room to provide some creative quality.

A front three full of pace and intervention against a low block is a must and Rabbi Matondo, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos starting together is an exciting prospect.

The fightback should start here. Let's hope the players match the club motto and are indeed, ready.

Rangers XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Barisic, Goldson, Davies, Lundstram, Kamara, Tillman, Kent, Matondo, Morelos.

Rangers Review:

Derek Clark

Rangers need to get back to winning ways and provide a performance that will give supporters encouragement heading into the international break.

With that being said, I fully expect an offensive and fresh-looking line-up.
It remains to be seen if Jon McLaughlin will be fit enough to start but given his display against Napoli, Allan McGregor should start in goal.

The back four is likely to look familiar with Borna Barisic possibly dropping out for Ridvan Yilmaz. The Croatian has been one of Rangers’ better performers of late but Ridvan needs to start playing games soon and you’d like to think a home match against Dundee United would be an ample opportunity.

The other change may see Ben Davies make his first start since signing from Liverpool although given the manager’s comments on his lack of game time recently, it’s likely James Sands will retain his place.

In terms of the midfield, John Lundstram is a certain starter but I’d like to see Charlie McCann afforded an opportunity alongside the Scouser. He has looked impressive in the cameos he’s had and his inclusion in the starting XI would provide much-needed energy and freshness Rangers have been crying out for.

Ahead of them should see some alterations. The game may be a chance for Rabbi Matondo to stake a claim. He’s been predominantly played on the right-hand side and should he start he’ll likely occupy that flank although it would be interesting to see him on the opposite wing given it’s a position he played for much of last season with Cercle Brugge. Malik Tillman should return to the fold in the No.10 position while on the left Ryan Kent is likely to start although, on current form, Fashion Sakala may be worth a start.

The sight of Alfredo Morelos leading the line on Wednesday was a welcome one and he should start against the Arabs with Antonio Colak featuring at some point from the bench.

Rangers XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Sands, Ridvan, Lundstram, McCann, Tillman, Matondo, Kent, Morelos.
