The winger was speaking in the mixed zone after a 1-1 draw with Aris. Here's everything else he had to say...

Talk us through your first goal?

It was a bit of a blackout moment for me at my goal from the moment the ball hit the back of the net.
When I hit the shot James Tavernier turned around to me and I don't think he'd realised the ball had hit the back of the net either. It's my first senior goal for Rangers so I'm obviously delighted with it.

A huge couple of months for you?

When I look back at the away game in Aris it was my first European appearance and I couldn't have imagined back then all that has happened for me since that game. Now I am coming here for the home game, playing my third European game and scoring my first-ever Rangers goal. It''s frightening.

Great to get your first Rangers goal?

I thought I had scored against Livingston a few weeks ago but it was ruled out and that was frustrating for a few days after that. That would have been my first Rangers goal but that also gave me a wee bit of drive and I was dying to get my first Rangers goal so I was delighted to finally get it.

What was the manager's message to you?

The manager just wanted me to have an impact in the one-against-one duals and for me to bring width to the team. Overall he just wanted me to have an impact and I was glad I was able to give that to him tonight The frustrating part is that we didn't manage to get the win when you look at all of the chances we had. I had two chances after I scored my goal so it is frustrating not to put them away. I know when I watch those chances back I will be kicking myself.

Fantastic to have European football after Christmas?

European football is now in February and to have that guaranteed is amazing for us and the boys but for us to go into the game against Real Betis with fire in our bellies is now about making sure we get three points from the game. There is confidence we can now go there and win and I don't think that was ever not the case and it was no different tonight. we believe we can win every single game we play in. When we are leading up to games we just look at what is in front of us. It's not on a weekly basis, it's only all about what is immediately in front of us. Our minds are now on St Mirren on Sunday and after that game we will focus on what is next.

You could have maybe had another?

"I knew Aris were going to overcommit when I had the ball on my right foot so I cut back inside but two of their defenders had managed to get back and they made the block.ย
