Tom Lawrence has suffered a further Rangers injury blow after being forced off against Hearts tonight.
The attacking midfielder was replaced by Jose Cifuentes after just 18 minutes, just weeks after returning from a long period on the sidelines with an unknown problem.
Lawrence has started Rangers' last four league matches including tonight, but in a major blow to the Ibrox outfit, he was forced off early on at Tynecastle.
The extent of Lawrence's fresh injury remains to be seen, with manager Clement likely to give an update at full-time.
On his injury return, Lawrence explained this week: “I felt really good when I came back at first and then maybe the two games in such a short period didn't help me out as such. I feel back to my best now fitness wise and hopefully my quality shows with that.
“You can go do all the training in the world and let me tell you the manager's training is hard as well. It is the difference in matches, match fitness is completely different to training and that is what I am trying to get back.
“The manager has been good with me about that, he is just trying to get me into a good rhythm. I said before the game that I feel like I am in a good place, I feel like I am getting back to the top of my fitness and hopefully the performance showed that.”
Clement also confirmed pre-match that Borna Barisic is missing from tonight's fixture with a muscle issue.
He explained: "Yes, Borna has a slight muscle problem so he was not able to play this game. That's why he is not in the squad tonight."
