Lennon Miller is a doubt for Motherwell’s trip to Hampden as Stuart Kettlewell faces being without eight players against Rangers.
Miller was taken off with a lower leg injury as Motherwell drew 0-0 with Ross County in their William Hill Premiership opener and Shane Blaney also picked up a knock which has ruled him out of Saturday’s game.
Ross Callachan is also listed on Motherwell’s X account as one of seven definite absentees after the midfielder made his first appearance for 16 months off the bench against his former club.
Callachan had a pre-season injury after returning to fitness from a long-term knee injury at the end of last term but not featuring for County.
Sam Nicholson was earlier ruled out for several months with a knee injury to join Harry Paton, Callum Slattery and John Koutroumbis on the long-term absentee list.
Filip Stuparevic will also miss the game against Rangers after suffering a hamstring injury in training late last week.
Motherwell lost 6-0 to Everton in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Goodison Park on Tuesday afternoon.
