There will be a number of emotional farewells this evening as Rangers face Hearts in the final home game of the season.

The club confirmed Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Filip Helander, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos will depart in the summer.

While the Swede won’t feature due to injury, will there be an opportunity for the remaining quartet to wear the famous jersey for one last time at Ibrox?

As Michael Beale stated in his pre-match press conference, tonight will give the supporters the chance to say goodbye to the five players set to leave at the end of the season.

With that in mind, we should expect to see many of the five who will depart. Robby McCrorie deserves to keep his place in goal but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Allan McGregor start with it being his last competitive home match.

Borna Barisic is back in training but Ridvan deserves to keep the shirt and the only other change to the backline that started at Easter Road could be John Souttar with Michael Beale hinting the game isn't ideal timing. With that in mind, the likelihood is that John Lundstram drops back.

In midfield, the one omission is likely to be Nico Raskin following his knock at the weekend. Scott Arfield deserves to start in his place with Ryan Jack and potentially the lesser-spotted Glen Kamara given it may also be the Finn's final Ibrox outing.

In the forward line, we should also expect to see Alfredo Morelos feature at some point from the bench but it remains to be seen if Ryan Kent will do likewise given the manager never mentioned him in his press conference.

Fresh from his goal against Hibs, Ianis Hagi deserves to start alongside the in-form Todd Cantwell with Fashion Sakala most likely to continue to lead the line.

Predicted line-up: McGregor, Tavernier, Lundstram, King, Ridvan, Jack, Kamara, Arfield, Hagi, Cantwell, Sakala.

Rangers Review:

It will be interesting to see how much sentimentality will influence Michael Beale's team selection.

The final game at Ibrox will act as a farewell to a number of players and Scott Arfield, Alfredo Morelos and Allan McGregor will all feature but Ryan Kent is an injury doubt.

All four have served Rangers well and deserve to be recognised for their efforts over the years - especially McGregor.

But Rangers will be determined to finish the season on a high and Beale stressed the importance of maintaining their unbeaten league record at Ibrox at Hearts.

Robby McCrorie has impressed since coming into the side, but McGregor deserves one last start at Ibrox and he could get the nod.

The back four will likely remain the same, although John Souttar could be rested as Beale alluded to his workload, with three games in a week after his recent injury problems.

The midfield trio has functioned well in the last few games but Scott Arfield could come in for Nicolas Raskin after his knock against Hibs. Todd Cantwell will be deployed as one of the two attackers behind Fashion Sakala up top - with Alfredo Morelos to appear from the bench.

I’d like to see Alex Lowry afforded the chance to impress from the start in place of Ianis Hagi - who Beale might be cautious with after his long-term injury.

Predicted line-up: McGregor, Tavernier, Souttar, King, Ridvan, Jack, Lundstram, Arfield, Lowry, Cantwell, Sakala.
